The Kalgoorlie-Boulder Chamber of Commerce and Industry has signed on as an Associate Member of the Gold Industry Group.

The KBCCI will deliver additional support to the Group to champion Australia’s gold sector, KBCCI Chief Executive Officer Hugh Gallagher said.

“As we are located in the spiritual home of Western Australia’s gold industry, we understand the importance of continually promoting our gold industry to build its profile in Australia,” Mr Gallagher said.

“We are dedicated to supporting the Gold Industry Group to ensure the value of the gold sector continues to be recognised both publically and politically.

“We are very pleased to contribute to the Group’s ongoing efforts to support an industry that is very close to our hearts and our communities.”

KBCCI is a welcome addition to the growing industry body, Gold Industry Group Chairman The Honourable Norman Moore said.

“We are delighted to welcome the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Chamber of Commerce and Industry as an Associate Member,” The Hon. Moore said.

“They are strong supporters of Western Australia’s gold industry and were very vocal in their support for the Gold Royalties Response Group’s #heartofgold campaign.

“We look forward to working closely with the Chamber in our continued efforts to create a unified voice for Australia’s gold industry.”

KBCCI is a member-based organisation representing the local business communities in the towns of Kalgoorlie and Boulder in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia.

Established more than 100 years ago, the Chamber continues to play a leading role in promoting the Goldfields region and supporting future development and business connectivity through the provision of events and services.

KBCCI joins ABC Refinery as the Gold Industry Group’s second Associate Member.

The Gold Industry Group is a single commodity, member-based, independent industry body governed by a Board of Directors.

The Group represents the interests of gold producers, explorers, prospectors and suppliers and promotes the importance of the gold sector in Australia.
