The WA Mining Club are offering seven $10,000 scholarships to WA university students studying a degree in a mining discipline.

Students studying engineering, geology, metallurgy, environmental science, biology and similar technical disciplines are eligible to enter. Students are welcome to apply for more than one scholarship.

There is also a $10,000 scholarship for indigenous students at high school or TAFE doing an apprenticeship or studying at university who want to start a career in the mining industry. Students can be studying any relevant course.

Winners also receive free attendance to WA Mining Club lunches in Perth and also get to participate in a mentoring scheme offered by industry co-sponsors. Most past winners were offered vacation employment – so you may get to work at a mine site and get practical, hands-on experience.

The WA Mining Club is a networking club with more than 500 members from WA's mining community. This is a great way to meet your future employer or clients!

Applications close 30 June 2017.
