The Gold Industry Group is supporting this year’s event as a presenting partner, showcasing the critical role innovation and technology play in driving the industry in an interactive showcase for schools.

In addition to our interactive gold exhibition featuring gold jobs, education resources, virtual gold experiences, gold in your life game and renewables activity, we are offering a once in a lifetime class excursion to Northern Star Resources’ Super Pit in Kalgoorlie.

Western Australia Premier Mark McGowan spoke about the support of The Government of Western Australia as the Principal Partner of RTS.

“Western Australia’s resources sector is world-leading. To ensure our prosperity continues into the future, I want every young Western Australian to be able to access the education and skills they need to be a part of our increasingly high-tech resources sector,” said the WA Premier.

Gold Industry Group Chair Kelly Carter explained how important it is to prepare and inspire tomorrow’s workforce.

“The Gold Industry Group’s initiatives are centred around education and developing talent pathways to support our future industry workforce. Through hands-on STEM activities we are bringing Australia’s gold industry to life and we can’t wait to showcase the industry at this year’s RTS,” said Ms Carter.

Seven West Media WA Chief Marketing Officer, Kate Molinari spoke about the huge opportunity to show West Australians, in particular school students, that there is more to the resources industry than just red dirt and high vis.

“We are thrilled to bring back RTS in 2021, to showcase the incredible innovation and technology that is being developed and used right here in WA, helping to energise the resources industry and the WA economy,” Ms. Molinari said.
