KCGM, Saracen Mineral Holdings, Northern Star Resources and the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KBCCI) have partnered to provide urgent relief to Kalgoorlie-Boulder small businesses impacted by COVID-19.
$300 000 is available as part of the Small Business Support Grants, with eligible Kalgoorlie-Boulder businesses receiving up to $10,000 to alleviate immediate financial pressures and business costs, including utilities, salaries and rent, and to stimulate future recovery.
The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, Kalgoorlie-Boulder Chamber of Commerce and Industry, representatives from local schools and the Goldfields Esperance Development Commission developed and launched the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Education Charter earlier this month.
Through the Charter, the City and partners will facilitate continuous engagement in local education, training and research, encouraging lifelong learning for all members of the Kalgoorlie-Boulder community.
The Gold Industry Group is supporting the Kalgoorlie Boulder Chamber of Commerce and Industry's (KBCCI) inaugural Kal Jobs Expo that will be held in Perth at CCIWA on Wednesday, 28 March.
With more than 1000 jobs vacant in the Goldfields, the one day event will connect job seekers directly with Goldfields employers who have a range of career opportunities available including Gold Fields Australia, Evolution Mining, Silver Lake Resources, City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, KCGM and Newmont Australia.
