Fever will take on the Sunshine Coast Lightning in two matches on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 April at the Goldfields Oasis Recreation Centre.

The community will also have the opportunity to interact with the Fever players on their tour of the Goldfields, as they host a free open training session, community clinics and visit a number of mine sites.

West Coast Fever General Manager (Pathways and Performance), Sue Gaudion said engaging with WA’s regional and remote communities is very important to the Club.

“West Coast Fever belongs to the whole of WA and it’s great to have such opportunities to bring elite netball to regional and remote communities to strengthen our connection with our regional fanbase,” said Miss Gaudion.

“We thank the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, the State Government, and the Gold Industry Group for their support.”

“We are delighted to again support West Coast Fever to tour the Goldfields region, giving local fans the rare opportunity to see these elite athletes in action and hone their skills in a number of community clinics,” said Gold Industry Group Vice Chairperson Kelly Carter.

“We had fantastic feedback from last year’s tour, and we are really excited to bring the team back to town and this time show them some of the local sights.”

The pre-season tour comes following last year’s success as the Club took elite netball to the region for the first time where Fever dominated Giants across two pre-season matches with scores of 74-58 and 70-50.

West Coast Fever looks forward to once again being embraced by the Kalgoorlie Boulder community with three days of jam-packed Fever action.

The Gold Industry Group is proud to support netball in Western Australia, thanks to members Gold Fields, Northern Star Resources, AngloGold Ashanti Australia, St Barbara Limited, Newmont Australia, Gold Road Resources, Ramelius Resources and The Perth Mint.
