Last week, West Coast Fever players embarked on a journey off the Netball Court as they paid a visit to Gold Field's Granny Smith mine site, located near Laverton. The purpose of their visit was to gain valuable insights into the intricacies of gold mining operations and to learn about Gold Fields' efforts towards enhancing the sustainability of the mining sector.

The Gold Industry Group is celebrating two years since the launch of its Gold Jobs online hub, attracting 160,000 Australians to the unique one-stop-shop of jobs and career-focused information on Australia’s diverse and thriving gold sector.
The ground-breaking resource has featured thousands of jobs from 16 leading gold companies since its inception, with recruiters turning their focus to targeted online advertising.
After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the 150th Bendigo Easter Festival was back better than ever in 2022 with Agnico Eagle Fosterville as the major sponsor. As the Principal Partner of Netball WA, the Gold Industry Group launched a dress design competition at the Netball WA’s NAIDOC Netball Carnival last year which saw Lakkari’s design selected amongst hundreds of entries.
The design used creativity to showcase the importance of Aboriginal culture, gold and netball to the designer.
