Through the CoRE + IGO Graduates Hands-On Learning Program Initiative, IGO Limited’s graduates will have the opportunity to share their expertise and assist the students in developing fundamental skills.

New education program rocks 300 Australian schools in 2020

The Gold Industry Group’s National Gold Education Program reached more than 300 schools in 2020, delivering free, exclusive Gold Resources Kits and dynamic Gold Class Sessions across the country.

Despite COVID-19, 300 of the popular Gold Resources Kits were delivered to Primary and Secondary schools across all States and Territories, including to eight Shooting Stars sites, bringing gold education and career insights to thousands of students and teachers.

The Gold Industry Group’s National Gold Education Program has recommenced this term, after delivery of its dynamic gold sessions and unique Gold Resources Kits were temporarily postponed due to the national COVID-19 health and safety protocols.

Teachers in Western Australia can now book a free gold session for their class, and schools nation-wide can order a free Gold Resources Kit via the online platform.

Gold education program update

Delivery of the Gold Industry Group's gold sessions and Gold Resources Kits as part of its National Gold Education Program will be postponed until Term 3 2020 in response to the national situation regarding novel coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19), ensuring the safety of both industry facilitators and participating schools across Australia.

National gold school program to rock students

The GIG's National Gold Education Program is now live across four states, inspiring the next generation of industry leaders through free, interactive gold demonstrations by industry workers and the provision of unique classroom resources to engage and excite primary and secondary students about the nation's diverse gold sector.

Incorporating STEM learning through hands-on activities that replicate common-place scenarios within the gold sector, provides students with a unique opportunity to interact with gold industry workers and discover the diverse range of careers on offer.
